MACKENZIE WEBSTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Mackenzie Webster Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Mackenzie Scott Webster. Mackenzie Webster was a rising Senior in the Class of 2015 at Jefferson Davis Academy.
This is a full tuition scholarship to attend the Academy that is open to any new JDA student entering the high school grade level. The scholarship is a merit based scholarship that will provide the opportunity for the deserving student to apply themselves through academics, athletics, and extra-curricular activities. It is hoped that the scholar, like Mackenzie Webster, will actively seek opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities in the arts, athletics, community service and/or student governance.
This scholarship is open to students entering the high school grade level; however, the scholar must be new to Jefferson Davis Academy.
The scholar must strive to be a good citizen who will contribute to the JDA family and demonstrate respect for his/her teachers, the administration, and his/her fellow students.
The scholar shall strive to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for the school year.
The scholar will actively seek opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities in the arts, athletics, community service and/or student governance.
The scholar must also comply with the rules and procedures as set forth in the Jefferson Davis Academy Student Handbook for the given school year. The student must have not been suspended from school during the scholarship year. The scholar must be on track for a college prep high school diploma.
Applications must be submitted prior to student enrolling at the Academy

A personal interview will be required of all scholarship finalists
